HIGHWAY 9 PICTURES is the production banner of Los Angeles-based filmmaker Avi Glijansky. 

Along with a regular group of collaborators, Highway 9 creates short films and web series that always maintains a strong focus on character and genuine human emotion.

Sponsored, original series

 SciFiRiot, a YouTube channel that launched in 2013, brought me on to direct and help develop this sci-fi-themed cooking show with co-creators and Ed Robinson and Jodie Younse.  Oxo, sponsored the show, providing all the cookware used on screen.  

While I didn't directly handle post, I did send rough cuts to SciFiRiot to help their editors get started.  Interestingly, my rough cuts of the first few episodes featured the Oxo products more prominently, but I was told that I could back off the hero shots.  As a result, product integration was much more subtle in later episodes, which was in keeping with what Ed, Jodie, and I had been aiming for.  The above episode, featuring television writer/producer Javier Grillo-Marxuach chatting about all things Dr. Who, worked quite well in this regard.
